What this site is
We got tired of opening five tabs to figure out whether The Wave was open, where we could legally sleep in the van tonight, and whether the $80 America the Beautiful pass was worth it. So we built CampFinder: a single static site that gathers permit lottery deadlines, free overnight spots, campground filters, budget math and packing lists — and presents them in plain English and 中文.
No login, no app download, no cell-service panic. Once the page loads, the tools work offline, which matters when you're boondocking where the map ends.
What's inside
- 19 free tools — a permit lottery calendar and odds estimator, a vanlife overnight finder, 14-day stay planner, RV fit check, trip and fee calculators, fire-restriction and bear-canister checks, and a packing-list generator.
- 15 in-depth guides — from The Wave and Angels Landing lottery strategy to BLM vs. National Forest rules, the 14-day stay law, recreation.gov booking tips and van sleep systems.
Where our data comes from
Every lottery window, fee, stay limit and fire rule is cross-checked against official sources, primarily recreation.gov, the National Park Service, the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service. Our current dataset was verified on 1 October 2026. Items we couldn't fully confirm are marked "TBD" rather than guessed.
Remember: permits, closures and fire bans change constantly. This site is a planning aid — always confirm the final word on the official agency site before you go.

不用登录、不用下载 App、不怕没信号。页面加载完成后，所有工具断网也能用——这在你开到地图尽头的荒野时很重要。

数据从哪来
每个抽签窗口、费用、停留限制与防火规则都对照官方来源核对，主要包括 recreation.gov、美国国家公园管理局、土地管理局 与美国林务局。当前数据集核实于 2026 年 10 月 1 日。无法完全确认的条目标注为"TBD"，绝不臆造。
请记住：许可、封闭与防火禁令随时在变。本站只是规划辅助——出发前务必以官方机构网站的最终公告为准。
